Another intriguing featherweight matchup has been added to UFC 232 in Las Vegas.

The Dec. 29 card at T-Mobile Arena already features the women’s superfight between featherweight champion Cris Cyborg and bantamweight titleholder Amanda Nunes.

And the card now includes a matchup of top contenders, as former Invicta featherweight champion Megan Anderson will meet popular Cat Zingano. On Wednesday, the UFC officially announced the bout, which was initially reported last week by ESPN.

Anderson (11-3) made her UFC debut at UFC 225, where she lost a unanimous decision to former bantamweight champion Holly Holm. Prior to that, the Australian had a four-fight win streak in Invicta, all via TKO, and all earning postfight bonuses.

Zingano (10-3), meanwhile, is coming off an impressive unanimous decision victory over Marion Reneau on July 14. That snapped a three-fight win streak. Zingano’s UFC stint includes TKO victories over both Nunes and former UFC and Strikeforce bantamweight champion Miesha Tate. The bout will be the first at 145 pounds in Zingano’s career. It will also give the UFC a potential backup plan should either Cyborg or Nunes have to withdraw from their co-main event bout.

UFC 232 is headlined by the matchup between Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson for the vacant light heavyweight title.
