Andrew Brayshaw is a class act.

The Fremantle young gun was quick to find West Coast wingman Andrew Gaff ahead of the pre-season derby clash in Mandurah.

Brayshaw shook Gaff’s hand before the opening bounce in a heart-warming gesture he planned during the week.

“If I start on (the ground), I would probably like to and I am sure he would like to do something similar. We will definitely get in touch post game and wish each other luck for the rest of the year I thin,” Brayshaw said during the week.

The pair faced off on the footy field for the first time since Gaff’s out-of-character hit broke Brayshaw’s jaw in last season’s fiery western derby clash.

Gaff received an eight-week suspension for the brutal punch, missing West Coast’s grand final win over Collingwood.

It ended the seasons of both players with Brayshaw requiring corrective surgery on his teeth and jaw.
