Yamaha riders look to make an impression in Superstock 1000.

Yamaha Motor Europe officially launched its 2015 racing programme on Wednesday, with the scene being the headquarters of the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP Team at Gerno di Lesmo in Italy. In this year’s FIM Superstock 1000 Cup, Florian Marino and Kev Coghlan make up an all-new line-up in their quest for the title.

The launch brought together Yamaha riders from various disciplines, with both on and off-road machines showcased. In Superstock 1000, the MRS Team welcomes Marino to Yamaha while Coghlan continues with the Japanese marque; both, however, move into Superstock 1000 from the FIM Supersport World Championship.

21-year-old Frenchman Marino had a brief stint in Moto2 in 2014 whilst competing as one of the main protagonists in World Supersport, in which he wrapped up up third overall with four podium finishes. 26-year-old Scottish team-mate Coghlan was classified fifth overall in World Supersport last season and has various titles to his name including the 2008 European Junior Supersport Championship and the 2009 Spanish Supersport Championship and European Supersport Championship.
