Ahead of their matchday one Super league match against Kuala Lumpur (KL) on Sunday, in what is dubbed as the Klang Valley Derby, the Selangor camp has received overseas visitors during their final training.

Around 10 Indonesian journalists descended on the Selangor training ground on Saturday in Shah Alam, in preparation for what might be the debut of the Red Giants' new signings; Indonesia U23 stars Evan Dimas Darmono and Ilham Udin Armaiyn. Coincidentally, their opponents too may debut another Indonesian player in the match. Former Persib Bandung defender Achmad Jufriyanto Tohir has been unveiled by the City Boys just last Monday.

However, the Red Giants boss Maniam Pachaiappan was insistent on not letting his Indonesian duo get carried away by the much-anticipated clash. "I did not tell them much about the derby, because it's just another game. But Evan and Ilham are prepared for the game against KL. They're ecstatic, they're in a good mood, and they've been combining well with the local boys. "This has all affected the team positively. Our team have been preparing well, we are highly-motivated," said Maniam when asked by the Indonesian press before conducting training on Saturday. All his players too are available for the match, save for two.

"Joseph Kalang Tie is still injured. Evan and Ilham are ready, but Alfonso [de la Cruz] is a doubt. Maybe he'll make his debut in the following game," remarked the former Malaysia international.
