Levy Marroquin will have to wait a little longer before he can fight for Combate Americas gold.

The Mexican fighter was scheduled to fight Jose Alday for the inaugural bantamweight title at Combate Americas 22, but was pulled from the fight due to symptoms of influenza detected by the Arizona Boxing Commission.

The news was announced by the promotion on Thursday. Indiscutido was the first to report the change.

Alday will now take on Gustavo Lopez in the headlining slot of Combate Americas 22. The event is set to take place this Friday, Sept. 14 in Phoenix, Ariz. The Spanish broadcast will air live on Univision Deportes, and DAZN will stream the fights in English.

Alday is 11-3-1 as a professional fighter. He last fought in April where he defeated John Castaņeda via split decision. Meanwhile, Lopez, who is 8-3 in his professional fighting career, is coming off a first-round TKO loss to Andre Ewell back in February.
