Will Chicharito go to Valencia? Can America sign a new attacker? What's next for Hector Herrera? Goal summarizes the transfer talk

Valencia continuing Chicharito push as Monaco joins race
Valencia and West Ham United are $4 million apart on a deal for forward Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez, according to Marca.

Los Che want Hernandez for his scoring abilities and his La Liga experience but the Hammers would require a formal proposal to buy the player rather than a loan deal. West Ham continues to look for between €12 million and €15m ($13.3m and $17.1m) for Mexico's all-time leading scorer. Valencia currently has €8m on the table.

Monaco now has joined the race for the 30-year-old as well and is prepared to give up €12m - but Valencia believes it has the upper hand as Chicharito's preferred destination.

Fabian could land in Miami
Marco Fabian is a target for Inter Miami, according to Bild.

However, with the MLS expansion side not set to begin play until 2020, the midfielder may leave Eintracht Frankfurt for a club in the Middle East or in China before linking up with the team owned by David Beckham. The report indicates Fabian had an offer to play in Shanghai but declined it in order to stay in the Bundesliga and earn a place on Juan Carlos Osorio's World Cup team.

This time, with former club teammate Carlos Salcedo already gone, little would stand in the way of a move for the former Chivas player, who has played in just one Bundesliga match this season - in September.

America interested in Markovic
America's search for an attacking reinforcement now has it looking at making an offer for Liverpool attacker Lazar Markovic, according to ESPN Mexico.

The Serbian has trained with the academy all season despite being 24 years old and has gone down as one of the worst signings in Liverpool history. If he isn't sold this offseason, he could leave in the summer on a free transfer.

Kaku saga drags on
Alejandro Romero Gamarra, known simply as Kaku, continues to be a New York Red Bulls player, with America manager Miguel Herrera insisting the club will not overpay for the Paraguay international.

The week has seen a bizarre interview from his agent and a more reasoned one in which the representitive said America needs to double its offer from $6 million to $12 million for the Red Bulls to sell.

The 24-year-old netted six times and added 14 assists in his first season with New York.

Vela not heading to Barcelona
Los Angeles FC's Mexican star Carlos Vela will not be swapping California for Barcelona, according to Univision.

Reports in the Spanish press linked the forward with a shock January switch to Camp Nou.

But Univision quotes an unnamed LAFC source denying any contact has been made from the Blaugrana over a potential transfer.

The LA Times also called any deal for the forward a "longshot", and Kevin Prince-Boateng's arrival makes it unlikely Vela will end up in La Liga.

Herrera not ruling out Porto stay
Hector Herrera has not entered negotiations with any club in Serie A and remains open to staying with Porto, according to his agent.

Herrera’s agent Gabriel Moraes told A Bola: “Herrera hasn’t ruled out staying with Porto," before laying out the list of teams his client had not negotiated with yet.

Turkey could be next step for 'Gullit'
Carlos "Gullit" Pena has interest from four clubs in Turkey, according to 24 Saat Futbol.

Meanwhile Rangers are looking for a way to have a clean break with the player, according to MedioTiempo.

Now, he could continue his career with Erzurumspor, Alanyaspor or Caykur Rizespor. First-place Basaksehir also could have interest.
