The 23-year-old put in another stellar display for the Reds, while the German noted "good signs for the future" after the stalemate with Tottenham
Jurgen Klopp hailed Philippe Coutinho as “a genius player” following the 1-1 draw with Tottenham, but was keen to stress Liverpool’s performances are about the collective rather than individuals.
The Brazilian, who only returned to Melwood from international duty on Thursday, was sensational against the division’s second-placed side, netting the opening goal and being central to the hosts’ play at Anfield.
His strike on Sunday evening took his tally to 10 for the season, the first time he’s managed double figures in a campaign, making Coutinho the club’s top scorer.

“Phil Coutinho is a genius player, but I don’t like it when players are picked out,” said Klopp.
“Football is a team game and if you want to play alone, you can play a different sport – golf, tennis and things like this.
“On the day everybody plays at their best, imagine how good we could be. That’s what we should try.
“Today, it was a brilliant goal, a brilliant performance [from Coutinho], but also from a few other players too.”

Klopp, whose first game in charge of Liverpool was the goalless draw against Spurs at White Hart Lane back in October, had mixed feelings over this stalemate. "In summary, I saw a lot of good things today, really good signs for our future and things like this but on the other side we showed again a little bit of our problem,” he said.
“But it’s much more difficult to show what we showed in our good moments than to finish our problems. So we will finish them, we will find solutions for them 100 per cent. But it’s a hard way.

"Along the way you get a few knocks and today we got a knock. We have to accept it and carry on.”
