Milan to move for Mauricio?
AC Milan look set to launch an ambitious swoop for Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, according to reports in the Mirror.

Rossoneri legend Gennaro Gattuso appears set to be given the axe at the San Siro after a disappointing season, and new Milan chief executive Ivan Gazidis is set to offer the Argentinian a mouthwatering £300 million transfer war chest in an attempt to lure the Spurs gaffer to Serie A.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has attempted to fend off interest in Pochettino from the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid in recent months and hopes that his club's move to a new state-of-the-art stadium will be enough to ward off any further moves for his man.

But with Gazidis under a clear mandate to wrestle the Serie A trophy from the clutches of Juventus, a move for the highly rated Spurs boss is seen as an essential one in the Milan boardroom.

United to prioritise future of current crop
Manchester United have made the futures of marquee men Paul Pogba and David De Gea their main priorities ahead of the summer.

Pogba has been flirting with Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane in recent weeks, but reports in the Mirror claim Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told the Frenchman that he is staying at Old Trafford. The Frenchman still has two years left on his contract at United, with the option of a further 12-month extension.

De Gea, meanwhile, is locked in contract talks with the club, as he looks to establish parity with teammate Alexis Sanchez's £500,000 weekly salary. Stalls in the talks have alerted Paris Saint-Germain, but United are prepared to bide their time as they attempt to strike a deal before the Spaniard's contract expires in the summer of 2020.

Bale boos add fuel to departure flames
Gareth Bale's relationship with Real Madrid fans took a further tumble on Saturday after he was booed just three minutes into his side's 2-1 win over Eibar in La Liga, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The Welshman was sent through on goal in the opening stages of the match at the Bernabeu, but the former Tottenham winger spurned the opportunity, leading to a chorus of jeers from the Los Blancos faithful.

Bale has been linked with a move back to north London, as well as a potential switch to Manchester United, and his manager Zidane was not forthcoming when given the opportunity to back his man following a disappointing individual display.

When asked about his forward's future, the Frenchman said: "We will see. Gareth is a Real Madrid player with two years left on his contract."
