RICHMOND’s Josh Caddy will miss Sunday’s blockbuster against Hawthorn after accepting a one-match ban for striking.

Caddy was cited by match review officer Michael Christian for a stray arm that struck David Mackay in the head on Thursday night, which resulted in the Crow playing no further part in the match after suffering concussion.

Although Caddy was attempting to smother a Mackay handball, Christian deemed the incident was careless with medium impact to the head.

Richmond received news of Caddy’s one-match ban on Friday as per the new match review process this year but had until 11am today to decide whether to accept or challenge the suspension.

On Monday, Gold Coast youngster Jack Bowes was offered a one-match ban for rough conduct against Jacob Weitering.

Christian assessed the incident as careless conduct with medium impact to the head.

St Kilda received some good news on Saturday after its disastrous loss to North Melbourne with young forward Paddy McCartin cleared of a rough conduct report.

McCartin was reported for a late hit on Kangaroo Trent Dumont in a marking contest during the third quarter of the Good Friday clash at Etihad Stadium.

McCartin slammed into Dumont’s back but match review officer Michael Christian deemed it reasonable for McCartin to contest the ball.

Dumont was able to play out the game and Christian assessed the 50m penalty paid as an appropriate penalty.

Meanwhile, several fines have been handed out after the weekend’s games.

GWS captain Phil Davis was offered a $1500 sanction for misconduct against Magpie second-gamer Jaidyn Stephenson.

In the game game Rory Lobb and Lynden Dunn were cited for wrestling with Lobb fined $1000 and Dunn $1500 for a second offence.

In Saturday night’s clash at the Gabba Nick Robertson and Jordan Lewis were slapped with $1500 fines for misconduct Lewis and Mathieson respectively.

Finally, in West Coast’s win over the Bulldogs, Eagle Jamie Cripps can accept a $1500 fine for misconduct against Mitch Honeychurch.
