Jason Taumalolo banned for shoulder charge that floored Jamayne Isaako

NORTH Queensland wrecking ball Jason Taumalolo has been suspended by the NRL for a shoulder charge that left Jamayne Isaako floored on Thursday night.

Taumalolo came out of the defensive line and led with his shoulder, which caught the young Bronco high and momentarily stunned him.

On Friday the NRL handed down their penalty and the Cowboys can accept a one-game ban with the early plea, which would rule the lock out of next week’s clash with the Sharks.

If they contest the charge and lose Taumalolo will miss two games.

His teammate Te Maire Martin escaped suspension for a dangerous contact charge, which carries just 75 points.

Broncos forward Tevita Pangai has also escaped charge for dangerous contact on Taumalolo.
