HAWTHORN legend Jason Dunstall has slammed the behaviour of a supporter who became involved in a heated exchange with Max Gawn during Sunday’s clash with Essendon.

Dunstall called on Etihad Stadium security to act and kick out the fan following the ugly incident.

The exchange occurred late in the third term after Gawn was awarded a free kick deep inside Melbourne’s 50 metre arc.

The Melbourne ruckman walked over to the fence to pick up the ball before the fan launched a verbal attack.

Gawn could then be seen pointing in the direction of the supporter.

“I’d like to see security grab him (the fan) and chuck him out,” Dunstall said on Fox Footy.

“It doesn’t matter what he said.”

Gawn went back to kick the goal.

“He said a couple of words that were far from PG rated. He gave me some inspiration to kick the goal, which was good,” Gawn said after the game.

“I let him know I had a better team than him.”
