Iowa star forward Tyler Cook isn't among the most heralded college basketball stars, but he made an emphatic case for stardom Saturday in a 77-73 loss to Penn State.

Cook finished the game with 23 points and 12 rebounds, but his best play came late in the second half when he posterized Penn State's Shep Garner.

Cook, a sophomore, has evolved into one of the most dangerous post scorers in college basketball, but the Hawkeyes still dropped to 4-4 on the season.
