Fremantle have lost experienced small forward Hayden Ballantyne on top of injuries to ruckman Aaron Sandilands and captain Nathan Fyfe as they prepare to play Melbourne in Darwin.

Ballantyne has an ankle injury and is expected to miss a week. As expected the Dockers have named Sean Darcy to replace Sandilands and Brad Hill to return in Fyfe’s place for what will be his brother Stephen’s 200th AFL game.

Defender Ethan Hughes comes into the team while Cam Sutcliffe flew to Darwin as the emergency. Ryan Nyhuis was dropped from the side which lost to Brisbane by 55 points.

Melbourne have named Charlie Spargo, Jeff Garlett, Billy Stretch and Sam Frost, dropping Harrison Petty, Mitch Hannan, Sam Weideman and Dom Tyson from the team which lost to St Kilda by two points last weekend
