SOUTH Sydney captain Greg Inglis has been hit with a grade one dangerous contact charge for a ‘crusher tackle’ on Dragons centre Tim Lafai in Saturday’s semi-final.

Inglis will be free to play the Roosters in the blockbuster preliminary final at Allianz Stadium on Saturday if he takes the early guilty plea.

However, the base penalty for the charge is 100 points (or one week) and should Inglis contest the ruling at the judiciary and lose, he will miss the final.

Meanwhile, Dragons forward Jeremy Latimore was also pinged for a grade one dangerous contact charge for attacking the legs of Rabbitohs winger Campbell Graham while he was in the air.

Latimore will also escape suspension if he pleads guilty.
