Fraser McInnes’ stop-start career has hit another roadblock after he was dropped for West Coast clash with Greater Western Sydney at Optus Stadium on Sunday despite the club’s raft of injured talls.

McInnes, 24, has managed 14 games in seven seasons and finds himself out of the team once more after booting just one goal in the Eagles’ losses to Essendon and Adelaide over the past two weeks while key targets Josh Kennedy (leg) and Jack Darling (ankle) have both been missing from the side.

Fellow forward Liam Ryan, who is out of the team following a car accident earlier in the week, is the only other confirmed omission at this stage.

Inclusions Dom Sheed, Oscar Allen, Daniel Venables, Nathan Vardy, Jackson Nelson and Jack Petruccelle were all named on an extended interchange bench alongside Brayden Ainsworth and Brendon Ah Chee. Allen is in line for his debut should he be selected.

Rising defender Tom Barrass’ continued absence with a back injury has further complicated West Coast’s forward troubles.

But the Giants have their own problems in attack with Jon Patton out with a suspected ACL rupture. Midfielder Jacob Hopper has also been forced out through injury.

Aidan Bonar, Harry Perryman, Brent Daniels, Nick Shipley, Adam Kennedy and Lachlan Keeffe were all included on the extended interchange bench.

The teams will be finalised tomorrow afternoon.
