Knicks second-year point guard Frank Ntilikina has been shut down for the remainder of the season after aggravating a groin injury earlier this week.

Ntilikina had returned to the team last Friday from a groin injury that had sidelined him since late January. He played 25 minutes in a loss to the Nuggets, then lasted just seven minutes two days later in a loss to the Clippers before exiting with more groin woes.

The Knicks say Ntilikina was evaluated by the team's medical staff, which recommended he miss New York's final seven games.

Ntilikina, the Knicks' first-round pick in 2017 (eighth overall), finishes the season with averages of 5.7 points and 2.8 assists per game in 43 games.
