Former NASCAR Truck Series driver Rick Crawford charged with 'attempted enticement of a minor'

Former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Rick Crawford is being held in Seminole County, Fla., and has been charged with "attempted enticement of a minor."

According to court documents obtained by Kickin' the Tires, Crawford was allegedly caught in a sting operation by officers trying to pay for sex with a 12-year-old girl. The documents indicate Crawford communicated with an undercover police officer who was posing as the father of the girl.

Crawford allegedly communicated with the officer on multiple occasions negotiating the transaction. According to the court documents, the 59-year-old former NASCAR driver told the undercover officer in a text he was looking to "f— and s—." The two then negotiated a deal between $50 and $75.

Crawford, who formerly was a member of the NASCAR appeals panel, allegedly agreed to meet the officer and was arrested when he arrived.
He allegedly said at the time he would not have gone through with it because the girl was underage.
There was no bond posted.

Crawford recorded five career wins in his time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He last competed in 2012.
