BOTH games between Melbourne and Geelong this season have been decided by less than a goal, with the Cats collecting the points both times.

Zach Tuohy sealed victory for the Cats after the siren in Round 18. Back in Round 1, Demons ruckman Max Gawn missed a shot in the final as Geelong held on.

The Demons secured their first finals berth in 12 years after winning four of their past five games, whereas the Cats have been there before.

Geelong snuck into the top eight after two massive wins against Fremantle and GWS.

It has won the past four clashes against Melbourne but the Demons go into tonight's match as favourites.

The winner of tonight's game will play Hawthorn in next week's semi-final.
