Legia Warsaw maintained their perfect record in Europa League action this season with a 1-0 victory over Metalist Kharkiv in Kiev on Wednesday.

Legia midfielder Ondrej Duda scored the only goal of the game in the 28th minute at the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Dynamo Stadium, despatching his right-footed shot from 12 yards past Metalist goalkeeper Oleksandr Horyainov and into the top left-hand corner.

The Polish side should have been two goals to the good shortly after half-time but Ivica Vrdoljak saw his 52nd-minute penalty saved by Horyainov.

Metalist were then handed a lifeline when they were awarded a penalty of their own but Legia goalkeeper Dusan Kuciak saved Jaja's 69th-minute spot kick to secure all three points for the visitors.

The victory sees Legia remain top of Group L with three wins from three games, while Metalist stay bottom of the standings with no points from their three fixtures.
