There were eight T20 Blast games scheduled on Friday but none of them got underway as incessant rain hit the United Kingdom.

NORTH GROUP:

The first game of the day that was called off was between Lancashire and Warwickshire. The results didn't affect Lancashire's position on the points table though, they are still the table toppers of North Group with 16 points. Although four out of their 11 matches have been washed out in the tournament, they are in a pretty comfortable position. In order to qualify for the quarter finals, Lancashire only need one win out of their three remaining games. On the other hand, Warwickshire are ranked 7th on the table.

Following the washed out game between Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, the former have 11 points from 10 matches and are placed third, while Derbyshire, with 10 points from 11 games, have the same number of points as Durham (10 each) but are one spot below them on basis of Net Run Rate.

Leicestershire, whose game against Northamptonshire was a no result, have 11 points from 11 matches and are placed fourth while the latter are eighth, with only eight points from 10 matches.

Meanwhile, Yorkshire, after their washed out game against Durham, are at the bottom of the table with only seven points from 10 matches - four of which yielded no results.

SOUTH GROUP

Despite their washed out match, Sussex and Kent are sitting at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots respectively. Sussex, who have lost only one of their 10 matches thus far, have 15 points while Kent have 14 from 11 matches.

Somerset and Gloucestershire, the two teams that are challenging the ones above them in the South Group table, picked up a point each after their abandoned game. Somerset have 11 points from 10 matches and are placed fifth while Gloucestershire currently occupy the fourth position with 12 points from 11 matches.

With the Hampshire vs Surrey and Essex vs Glamorgan games also being washed out, the bottom-placed side have a lot of work to do to stay alive in the competition. Hampshire have eight points from 10 matches, Surrey have eight from 11 while Essex too have eight from 10 games, and occupy the sixth, seventh and eighth positions respectively. Glamorgan, with only five points from 11 games, are placed at the bottom of the South Group.
