WIN or lose, Lincoln Latter is keeping his new West Coast-inspired ink.

The 25-year-old is that confident his team will win their fourth flag against Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday that he got a premiership tattoo five days early.

Latter spent the last afternoon of his Bali holiday on Monday getting ‘premiers 2018’ inked on his right ankle, complete with the Eagles logo.

And, somewhat surprisingly, he hadn’t got stuck into any Bintangs beforehand.

“I was 100 per cent sober as a matter of fact,” Latter said.

“I was thinking about it for a couple of days after the Eagles’ preliminary final win over Melbourne on Saturday.

“I’ve definitely got to keep it now, I’ve committed to it and if they lose then you win some, you lose some. It’s a good story at the very least.”

It wasn’t the Parkwood resident’s first tattoo.

“I’ve got a few other tatts, I’ve got a half-sleeve and part of my legs done too,” he said.

And there were no prizes for guessing what his tip was for the decider.

“West Coast by 22, Shannon Hurn to win the Norm Smith and Josh Kennedy to kick four goals,” Latter said.

Latter revealed his ink on Facebook on Monday with the caption “confidence is key #itstimetofly”.

He might be confident but another footy fanatic regrettably went early by adding ‘2018’ to his Richmond tattoo from the year before.

The Tigers’ back-to-back flag hopes ended at the hands of a resurgent Magpies outfit on Friday night.
