Boston's longest point since the 1968-69 season was snapped by the Ducks Tuesday night with a 3-1 win for Anaheim.

The Bruins were riding an 18-game point streak during which they went 14-0-4. The 68-69 team, which included Phil Esposito, Ken Hodge and Johnny Bucyk, went 13-0-5 from Dec. 28 through Feb. 5.

Boston was five games away from matching the all-time franchise record of 23 straight games, set by the 1940-41 squad.
After Anaheim built a 2-0 lead, Ryan Spooner got Boston on the board with less than a minute left in the third period to prevent a shutout. Adam Henrique added an insurance goal on an empty net with under 10 seconds left in regulation to secure the victory for Anaheim.

Anders Bjork left the game with an upper body injury and the team reported that head coach David Cassidy said, "He'll miss some time."
David Backes was also escorted off the ice after taking a hit from Nick Ritchie.

After tallying just five shots on goal during the first period, Boston's offense looked more alive in the second and third. The Bruins outshot Anaheim 31-27 and went 0-4 on the power play.

Boston sits comfortably in second behind Tampa Bay in the Atlantic Division. The team opened up its three-game homestand with Anaheim, and is set to host the Blues on Thursday and the Maple Leafs on Saturday
