Tennessee senior defensive end Derek Barnett needed only one sack in Friday's Music City Bowl to pass Reggie White as the Volunteers' all-time sack leader.

He got that sack late in the fourth quarter of the Volunteers' over the Cornhuskers.

Barnett finished his collegiate career with 33 sacks, one more than the College Football Hall of Fame — and Pro Football Hall of Fame — inductee. Friday's sack gave him 13 for the season, two shy of White's school record of 15.

Can't win them all.
