UNDEFEATED boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr is reportedly set for another cross-code bout, this time with kickboxing prodigy Tenshin Nasukawa.

The blockbuster fight is expected to take place in Japan at Rizin 14, a mixed martial arts competition, on New Year’s Eve, claims BJPENN.COM.

The news was confirmed a press conference in Tokyo on Monday, where both Nasukawa and Mayweather were present.

Mayweather, who reportedly arrived in Japan on his private jet, outlined his grand plans.

“I want to continue to build my relationship with Money Team Tokyo,” Mayweather said in a press conference in Japan on Monday.

“I want to continue coming over here and bringing other fighters over here so my company can continue to grow and RIZIN can continue to grow.

“I would love to continue to work with RIZIN because RIZIN is an unbelievable company, and my company, we’ve been making some huge fights happen in the US, but we look forward to taking the Mayweather Promotions banner and the TMT banner worldwide. And if it takes working with a great guy like this, there’s no problem.”

News of a NYE fight quashes rumours of a bout between Mayweather and UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov or a return bout against long-time rival Manny Pacquiao.

Twenty-year-old Japanese sensation Nasukawa is a flawless 27-0 as a professional kickboxer, with 21 of his victories coming by way of knockout.

Nasukawa has also competed four times in mixed martial arts, winning two of those bouts by knockout, one by submission, and one by decision.

He has never competed as a professional boxer.

Mayweather last fought in August 2017, when he pushed his undefeated run to 50 with a 10th-round TKO against Conor McGregor in a similar crossover fight.
