Jerry Jones and Conor McGregor. It is a friendship that has taken the headlines by storm.

On Sunday night, McGregor took in the NFL game between the Jones’ Dallas Cowboys and the Jacksonville Jaguars. From tossing the pigskin during warm ups to pumping up “America’s Team” in the huddle, the giddy Irishman looked like a kid in a candy store as he took in AT&T Stadium.

However, one nugget picked up by cameras was a conversation between McGregor and Jones discussing the possibility of bringing the UFC’s octagon the venue

“It is a spectacle, this place,” McGregor told Jones. “That octagon has got to be in the center one day. I’m going to make that happen. Especially now after being here and seeing it. I know it was rumored many times. We never got there but now is the time.”

Dubbed “Jerry’s World,” the massive venue seats 80,000 people with the maximum capacity, including standing room, of 105,000. In 2009, a record crowd of 105,121 took in the game between the Cowboys and New York Giants.

In terms of competition, McGregor (21-4) most recently failed in his attempt to recapture his UFC lightweight title from Khabib Nurmagomedov (27-0) at UFC 229 earlier this month.
