FOR the second straight year, the Classic Wallabies will embark on a tour of Fiji with a number of former and current stars spreading the rugby gospel in the Pacific.

Headlined by Fijian born Wallabies Samu Kerevi, Radike Samo and Lote Tuqiri, the squad also features recently retired Australian greats Stephen Moore and Rob Horne and Rebels prop Laurie Weeks.

Wallabies centre Kerevi is recovering from a bicep injury that ruled him out of the opening two Bledisloe Cup Tests.

The tour will see players visit Cuva College and Sigatoka Special School for coaching clinics with the students, as well as a visit to Sigatoka Hospital, before taking on the Fiji Legends in a curtain raiser to the National Rugby Championship match between Fiji Drua and Melbourne Rising at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori on September 2.

The Classic Wallabies have already been on show this year at the Hong Kong Tens and Sydney Sevens, as well as in an exhibition match against the Darling Downs Barbarians in Toowoomba which attracted a crowd of over 3000 people.

In 2017, the Classic Wallabies ventured to Fiji for the first time, with a stacked Fijian Legends side coming out victorious at a packed ANZ Stadium.

The tour is supported by Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Fiji Rugby Union and Shangri-La Hotel Coral Coast, while the Classic Wallabies have also partnered with the National Kidney Research and Treatment Centre.

The Classic Wallabies were founded to continue mateship and camaraderie beyond playing days and provide a support network for players to transition into life after rugby
