Chris Hogan injury update: Patriots WR will return Saturday

Tom Brady will get back one of his favorite targets for the Patriots' divisional-round matchup with the Titans on Saturday night. Chris Hogan will make his return to New England's lineup after missing seven of the final eight games with a shoulder injury.

The Patriots removed Hogan from the injury report, and he will play for the first time since Dec. 11, when he caught one pass for one yard in a 27-20 loss to the Dolphins.

Hogan missed the final three games of the season. Before getting injured, he was fourth on the team with 33 catches, but he was just one catch behind Rob Gronkowski and Brandin Cooks. Running back James White led the team at the time.

The 29-year-old wide receiver emerged as one of the team's best options during the Patriots' run to the Super Bowl in 2016, as he caught 17 passes for 332 yards and two touchdowns during the postseason. He led the Patriots with nine catches and 180 yards in New England's 36-17 win over the Steelers in last season's AFC Championship Game.

New England still lists defensive tackle Alan Branch and running back Rex Burkhead as questionable for the Titans game, which kicks off at at 8:15 p.m. ET Saturday at Gillette Stadium.
