CHELSEA boss Maurizio Sarri has moved for an AC Milan star who used to play at rivals Liverpool, while the Reds themselves have bid for a Spanish forward.

That and more in another edition of Rumour Mill!

CHELSEA EYE SUSO
Maurizio Sarri is reportedly ready to raid the Serie A to bring AC Milan star Suso to Chelsea.

The Blues have allegedly ‘taken the first steps’ in their pursuit to sign the attacking midfielder, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web, as the manager looks to add to his squad in January.

The report suggests Suso has a €38m (A$60m) release clause, with the Londoners facing competition from Atletico Madrid for his signature as Milan attempt to negotiate an extension to keep their prized asset at the San Siro.

The 24-year-old, who boasts three goals and seven assists in nine Serie A outings this season, has already spent time in the Premier League with Liverpool. However he only managed 21 first team appearances across his three senior seasons before leaving for Milan in 2015.

REDS LODGE BID FOR SPANISH STAR
Speaking of the Reds, they too are in the market for a Spaniard. Marca report the Merseysiders have lodged a bid for Athletic Bilbao forward Iker Muniain.

With his contract at Bilbao set to expire next summer, a range of clubs are interested in luring the star away from his boyhood club.

The Reds are allegedly seeking depth for their attacking stocks, with an offer now on the table for Muniain to support the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino at Anfield.

The report is unclear as to whether a deal would come in January or rather be completed for free at the end of the season.

JUVE KEEN ON JAMES
Juventus are being linked with an audacious swoop for Colombian star James Rodriguez.

German paper SportBild report the 27-year-old, currently on loan from Real Madrid at Bayern Munich, is keen to engineer a move away from the German giants – with Juve keen to offer him an escape route.

The Italian champs are said to be examining their options as they look to extend their dominance in the Serie A.

Bayern are thought to be far from keen on letting the playmaker leave, especially with no replacement lined up.

HAMMERS WANT WANYAMA
West Ham are keen to sign Spurs star Victor Wanyama in January, according to Football Insider.

The midfielder is on the outs at Spurs, having managed just 56 minutes of action in the Premier League so far this season, and the Hammers are ready to offer him an out.

Manuel Pellegrini reportedly wants to bolster his squad when the transfer window reopens, with Wanyama shortlisted in the hunt for a new central midfielder.

The 27-year-old was a key player for Mauricio Pochettino but after missing much of last season with injury, he’s struggled to regain his spot in the first team.
