RACING Victoria stewards will inspect Charlie Appleby’s Caulfield Cup entrant Emotionless on Monday to determine whether he will run in that race.

The Godolphin galloper, who is a second acceptor for the Caulfield Cup, pulled up lame in a track gallop at Werribee International Horse Centre last Saturday.

Emotionless will undergo a bone scan at the University of Melbourne Equine Centre to determine why he was lame in its right hind leg.

The results of the scan will assist Mr Appleby, in consultation with his veterinarians and RV veterinarians, to determine whether Emotionless is in a suitable condition to accept for Saturday week’s $5 million Stella Artois Caulfield Cup (2400m) for which the acceptance deadline is 10am on Tuesday, 16 October.
