Tyronn Lue's job appears to be safe — for now.

Despite the Cavaliers dropping 12 of their last 18 games, including eight straight on national television by an average of 18 points per game, the team has no intention of letting their head coach go amid their slump.

"We are not firing our head coach," one Cavs official told ESPN on Saturday.
Another league source noted that the Cavs will "continue pursuing deals to improve the floundering team between now and Thursday's NBA trade deadline" with the hope of turning their season back around.

Lue, who was promoted to his position midway through the 2015-16 season, expressed his frustration during halftime of Saturday's 120-88 loss to the Rockets, saying the team's effort was "soft, weak, no physicality, no toughness, no grit."

As if the loss of forward Kevin Love for an expected two months with a fractured left hand wasn't bad enough, growing frustrations with the Cavs' front office and ongoing drama in the locker room have added to the team's struggles.

The Cavs (30-21) will look to get back on track when they visit the Magic (15-36) at7:30 p.m. ET Tuesday
