PKHYNCHKHAN / South Korea /, 22 February. / TASS /. The Sports Arbitration Court (CAS) will make public the decision on the case of anti-doping rule violation at the Olympic Games by Russian curler Alexander Krushelnytsky later on Thursday. This was reported by the press service of the court.

"The decision on the Krushelnytsky case will be published on the official website during the day," the press service said.

Krushelnytsky won a bronze medal in the double mix discipline paired with Anastasia Bryzgalova at the Games in South Korea. On February 18, it became known that the athlete's doping test gave a positive result to the meldonia. The hearing of the CAS exit panel in Pyeongchang on the case of the Russian curler was due on February 22, but was canceled at the request of all interested parties. Prior to this, Krushelnytsky published a statement in which he refused to participate in the planned hearings, since he did not see the point in this.

Earlier, the Curling Federation of Russia (FKR) filed an application with the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation about the possible addition of a prohibited substance to Krushelnytsky's food by unknown persons and requested data from video cameras from South Korea and Japan, where the curlers were preparing for the Olympics. FKR plans to apply to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the organizing committee of the Games-2018 and the World Curling Federation with a request to assist in the investigation. Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Pavel Kolobkov hopes that the IOC will take into account the random nature of getting meldonia into the body of a curler.
