Andre Drummond has been selected to replace John Wall among the Eastern Conference representatives for the All-Star game and Ben Simmons may not agree with the pick.

Drummond is a very deserving All-Star as he is averaging 14.7 points, 15.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game, but several other players have arguments for making the team as well.

Amond those players is Simmons of the 76ers who is putting up 16.6 points, 7.3 assists and 7.9 rebounds per game in his rookie season. He had a unique reaction after Drummond was selected as Wall's replacement.

Simmons had no apparent reason to spontaneously react with laughter, so it is safe to assume he is responding to Drummond's selection over his own.
Even prior to the addition of Drummond one prominent player from the Western Conference weighed in on who he thought should replace Wall.
Draymond Green said Celtics guard Jaylen Brown should have been the replacement. Brown was grateful.

Brown is averaging 14.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in his second NBA season. Those are good numbers, but clearly short of Drummond's

In the end the NBA coaches selected the man who they originally would have sent after Wall. That man is Drummond.
The NBA, in announcing Andre Drummond’s All-Star selection, confirmed he was next in line in the voting among East coaches and that’s why he was chosen to take John Wall’s place
