Becky Lynch has been removed from Sunday's No Mercy pay-per-view show because of an injury, WWE sources told the Wrestling Observer.

Lynch was scheduled to defend her Smackdown women's title against No. 1 contender Alexa Bliss. Lynch won the belt at last month's Backlash by submitting Carmella in the final of a six-pack challenge match.

There is no word on the nature of Lynch's injury, or how it will affect the women's title picture.


Carmella is scheduled to wrestle against Nikki Bella, so perhaps that match will be for the title instead.
