It’s all kicking off at Bayern Munich — James Rodriguez is out for the season, they’re close to bringing in one of the Premier League’s hottest talents and they’re leading the race to sign Zinedine Zidane.

Meanwhile, one United star’s insane wages are getting in the way of bringing in a new superstar signing in January.

All that and more in another edition of Rumour Mill!

BAYERN TARGET ZIDANE TO REPLACE KOVAC
Bayern Munich have made Zinedine Zidane their primary target to replace Niko Kovac.

Manchester United officials have been keen to bring in the Frenchman for months, with Jose Mourinho getting off to a rocky start.

But according to The Sun, it appears the Bundesliga giants are leading the race for Zizou as their new long-term boss.

Mourinho faces the sack if United don’t qualify for the Champions League next season, but with Zidane slipping away from their grasp, they may reconsider keeping Jose.

SUPERSTAR’S CRAZY WAGES GETTING IN THE WAY OF THINGS
Alexis Sanchez’s salary at Manchester United has seen the club’s wage bill increase by 10 per cent, according to the club’s latest batch of financial figures.

The unsettled star is on $526,000-a-week which rises to $877,000 after a series bonuses.

The Chilean international’s ridiculous wages means bringing in a new superstar signing in January could prove troublesome.

Sanchez has provided little return on that large investment too, scoring just four goals in 29 appearances for United — meaning United chiefs could boot the former Gunner if he doesn’t start performing.

GUNNERS GEM CLOSE TO BAYERN MOVE
Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey is on verge of joining Bayern Munich, with the German giants believing they have won race for his signature, according to reports.

The 27-year-old could be the latest star to move to the Bundesliga and it could very well happen for free in July of 2019.

Yet to put pen to paper on a deal at the Emirates, Ramsey has picked up a lot of foreign attention with clubs lining up for his signature — and Bayern claim they’ve won the race, according to the Independent.

LONDON RIVALS BATTLE IT OUT FOR UNITED OUTCAST
Arsenal want to sign Manchester United outcast Eric Bailly — but face stiff competition from their archrivals Spurs.

The Ivory Coast defender has failed to convince boss Jose Mourinho he is the answer to their defensive frailties, and could be on his way out of Old Trafford.

The Daily Record is reporting the 24-year-old is beginning to grow frustrated with his lack of opportunities, with the Gunners and Spurs knocking on Jose’s door to sign him.

UNITED ON THE HUNT FOR RELIABLE DEFENDER
Inter Milan have told Manchester United officials that they need to dig deeper in their pockets if they want to land defender Milan Skriniar.

According to The Sun, the Red Devils would need to pay a record-breaking fee for the Slovakian who is one of Serie A’s top defenders

But having had a $93m offer rejected already, it sounds like it would take a lot more to sure him to Manchester — especially for a guy who’s been on the radar of Europe’s top clubs for a while.
