The Bundesliga champions are interested in signing the Netherlands Under-19 star, but face stiff competition from their domestic rivals

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are closely monitoring the situation of Twente youngster Bilal Ould-Chikh .

The winger is regarded as one of the biggest talents around on the European pitches in his age category and made his first-team debut for the Eredivisie side in 2013-14 at the tender age of 16.

Both Bundesliga giants are keeping a close eye on his development and have watched him in action a number of times in the past few months.

“Bayern and Dortmund have both been watching Ould-Chikh for about two years now,” a source close to the player told Goal .

“They both saw him in action during this summer’s European Championship Under-17 in Malta and also scouted him during the international friendly between Germany U-19 and Netherlands U-19 in Koln earlier this month.”

Ould-Chikh joined the Twente academy in the summer of 2012 after previous spells with Feyenoord, RBC and Willem II and signed professional terms with the Enschede side when he turned 16 last year.

The gifted attacker’s current deal with Twente is due to expire in June 2016 and the Eredivisie outfit are ready to offer him a contract extension when he turns 18 next summer.

Ould-Chik, however, wants to see how much first-team action he gets over the next few months before he makes a decision about his future.

The winger - who is represented by a Dutch lawyer supported by a team of three – was hoping to get the chance to prove his worth this term after the departure of Dusan Tadic and Quincy Promes, but he has featured for just 41 minutes in four substitute cameos in all competitions so far.

Twente remain his first option at this stage, but Bayern and Dortmund are keeping a close eye on Ould-Chikh’s situation.
