Gun West Coast midfielder Andrew Gaff is set to make his football return in AFLX after he was drafted by Patrick Dangerfield’s Bolts.
Gaff is still serving an eight-week suspension for his strike on Fremantle youngster Andrew Brayshaw last season but is eligible for both AFLX and JLT Community Series matches prior to the 2019 season proper getting under way.

Gaff was the only Eagle taken in the early rounds of the draft after Norm Smith medallist Luke Shuey ruled himself out yesterday and a raft of other premiership stars coming back from injury niggles.

Dangerfield swooped on Gaff with pick 18 – his fifth overall.

Gaff joins Luke Hodge, Tom Hawkins, Mark Blicavs and Robbie Gray on team Bolts.

West Coast defender Lewis Jetta was then selected by Eddie Betts for Deadly, becoming the second Eagle to be taken.

Willie Rioli was later selected to join Betts’ side as well.
