“I can only confirm that there is a joint integrity investigation on foot between us and another state authority,” he said.

DWYER DREAMING OF GROUP 1 SUCCESS
HENRY Dwyer gave a discreet vote of confidence in three-year-old filly Alexandra Dreaming nine days ago when she was one of two late entries for the Thousand Guineas.

Dwyer paid the $1100 late nomination fee and joked he would have been left holding the bill if she didn’t win her debut at Sandown Lakeside on Wednesday.

Punters didn’t share his confidence as she started at $31 but she managed to lead throughout to defeat some highly-rated three-year-olds.

Dwyer said Alexandra Dreaming had shown enough in two soft trials and a gallop to suggest she had above average-ability but he hadn’t “screwed her down yet”.

Alexandra Dreaming was ridden by Ben Allen, who said she was “above average”.

The victory continued Dwayne Dunn’s great start to the season. “He had to do a bit of work today. That was a good effort for a three-year-old. He loves wet tracks.”

The Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott-trained galloper has been entered for the Caulfield Guineas.

SATORI kept his undefeated record when the five-year-old gelding made it four from four at Sandown Lakeside. Trainer Matt Cumani said he was half thinking about not running him due to his weight and his barrier.

Cumani said he would continue to take it one step at a time with Satori who he thought could end up in a good race. His four wins have been over an 18-month period.
