EX-NRL star Alex McKinnon and his partner Teigan have welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world.

McKinnon and his wife announced the birth of Harriet Anne via social media on Monday afternoon.

The couple announced they were expecting their first child together earlier this year in March.

Alex and Teigan also celebrated their one-year anniversary on Monday.

The two married in an emotional ceremony last October with Alex fulfilling his promise of walking down the aisle.

The former Newcastle Knights backrower suffered a devastating spinal injury while playing back in 2014 which prematurely ending his budding NRL career.

He was diagnosed as a quadriplegic and has been in a wheelchair ever since.

McKinnon’s courage in the face of unthinkable adversity captured the nation’s imagination and his partner Teigan continues to play a crucial role in his ongoing rehabilitation.
