College basketball analyst Doug Gottlieb recently left CBS Sports, and it was Wednesday that he had joined FS1. His role essentially is the same as it was at CBS, as he'll be a basketball analyst and have his own radio show at Fox Sports.
The interesting thing, though, is that not too long after the Fox Sports announcement, ESPN that Gottlieb will be interviewing for the vacant head coaching position at Oklahoma State. Gottlieb knows OSU well since he played there many years ago.
Last year, Gottlieb openly campaigned for the job in a Facebook post. He never received an interview, but his interest apparently hasn't died down.
Gottlieb recently addressed concerns over his lack of experience by essentially saying it's been done before.

Fox Sports probably isn't too thrilled with the idea of losing its new college basketball analyst so soon, but Gottlieb has wanted this position for a while, so he's jumping at the opportunity.
