Day one of the 2018 AFL trade period has drawn to a close, leaving us with plenty to ponder as talks progress.

Three deals were completed:

- Lincoln McCarthy, a close friend of Lachie Neale, moved from Geelong to Brisbane;

- Former Richmond pair Anthony Miles and Corey Ellis became Gold Coast Suns; and

- Geelong snaffled talented SANFL tall and Carlton pre-selection pick Nathan Kreuger.

In other news:

- Geelong is demanding a top-10 pick for homesick midfielder Tim Kelly;

- GWS ruck-forward Rory Lobb wants to become a Docker;

- West Coast could match Port Adelaide’s free agency offer to Scott Lycett;

- A Halls Creek forward could shape this year’s trade period; and

- A WA-born Bulldogs defender is eyeing up a move to Brisbane.

We’ll see you tomorrow at 7am WA time when the action kicks off again!
