TIM Kelly’s manager has delivered a broadside at Fremantle, saying the Dockers are not an “attractive proposition” for the wantaway Cat.

Kelly is desperate to return to his home state of WA as he looks to move his partner and three young children closer to family and friends.

But the Geelong midfielder is keen on joining West Coast, not Fremantle, on the back of his strong debut season.

Kelly’s manager Anthony van der Wielen told The Herald Sun the Dockers were simply not in the frame for the 24-year-old.

“He is not going to Fremantle. I have had players there and I don’t think they are an attractive proposition for him,” van der Wielen said.

“He will go to West Coast and if he doesn’t he will be playing at Geelong then he will leave the year after.”

Kelly is contracted to the Cats for another season, meaning West Coast will have to satisfy their rivals with a trade to bring him west.

The Eagles’ quest to secure Kelly was made easier by the club picking up a compensation draft pick for losing Scott Lycett to Port Adelaide this morning.

West Coast will get a pick at the end of the first round of next month’s draft.
