An additional T20I between India Women and South Africa will be played on Thursday (October 3), as arranged for by the management to make up for the two washed out games due to incessant rain in Surat. The series that was initially slated as a five-match series, will now be a six-match one, with the extra game to be played on the rest day before the final game of the series on Friday (October 4).

After India took an early lead in the series, and the two washouts, the fourth game was reduced to a 17-over affair due to rain. However, as many as six dropped catches from South Africa and a clinical outing from India gave the hosts a 51-run win and a subsequent 2-0 lead. With now two games to go in the series, South Africa still have a chance to draw the series if they win the next two games. That, provided rain does not play spoilsport anymore.
