Adam Henrique is having no trouble flourishing with the Anaheim Ducks.

The New Jersey Devils traded Henrique to the Ducks on Nov. 30 in a multi-player deal that included defenseman Sami Vatanen heading to the Metropolitan Division. Three games into his Ducks career, Henrique has totaled three points — an assist per game. Henrique finally showcased his goal scoring for those in attendance at the Honda Center on Wednesday night as the Ducks played the Ottawa Senators.

Henrique's first tally came at the 16:13 mark of the second period. He sent the shot past Senators goaltender Craig Anderson for his first goal as a member of the Ducks. Rickard Rakell and Corey Perry were credited with assists on the play that allowed Anaheim to take a 1-0 lead.

The 27-year-old Henrique's second goal came at much more convenience. Anaheim held a 2-0 lead for the majority of the contest; so when Ottawa chose to empty its net in favor of the extra attacker, Henrique launched a shot from the blue line into the empty net. The goal increased Henrique's point total with Anaheim and also solidified the team's win over the Senators.

Henrique's transition to a new team and a new conference, after eight years with New Jersey, has shown to be quite convenient. Nearly 24 hours since his trade to Anaheim was official, Henrique was already playing for the Ducks. It's what helped Henrique adjust so well to playing with Anaheim.

"As far as systems I felt pretty good," Henrique said. "For me, I think the biggest thing was jumping in and playing right away, get my legs under me and obviously learning the system on the fly.

While Henrique has found personal success with Anaheim, Wednesday night's victory was the first time that the Ducks have won since acquiring Henrique. They posted an 0-1-2 record in their last three games. Anaheim sits in sixth place in the Pacific Division
