Guard Tony Wroten came off the bench to score 21 points in 31 minutes, as the 76ers followed up their victory at Denver on New Year's Day by matching its longest winning streak of the season. All three victories have been on the road, where Philadelphia had been 1-12 before its current streak.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Forward Thaddeus Young scored 28 points and point guard Evan Turner added 24 points, 10 rebounds and six assists as the suddenly surging Philadelphia 76ers continued their impressive road show with a 113-104 win over the Sacramento Kings at the Sleep Train Arena on Thursday.

Center DeMarcus Cousins scored 33 points, two shy of his season-high, and added 13 rebounds, but the Kings turned the ball over 23 times and were unable to follow up Tuesday's victory at Houston with a second straight win. Sacramento won consecutive games only twice all season, and they have yet to post back-to-back wins at home. The loss to Philadelphia marked the beginning of a five-game homestand for the Kings.
Point guard Isaiah Thomas scored 23 points for Sacramento, the 11th time in his past 14 games that he has reached that mark. He also added seven assists. No other Sacramento player had more than two.
The 76ers prevailed even though the Kings did an effective job shutting down point guard Michael Carter-Williams. The NBA's rookie leader in scoring (17.8 per game), assists (7.5) and rebounds (5.7) entering the game, Carter-Williams was held to seven points, five assists and four rebounds.
The 76ers led by as many as 18 points in the second half before the Kings staged a small rally at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Kings guard Jimmer Fredette scored 12 straight points during a 14-4 run that cut Philadelphia's to 96-91.
NOTES: Kings C DeMarcus Cousins picked up his NBA-leading 10th technical foul after getting into a shoving skirmish with 76ers G Evan Turner in the second quarter. Cousins shoved Turner, who then shoved him back, but Cousins received the technical when he slapped Turner's hand out of the way. Six more technical fouls and Cousins would receive a one-game suspension. ... Cousins and 76ers F Thaddeus Young were two of three NBA players averaging 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.50 steals per game entering Thursday's games. Atlanta Hawks F Paul Millsap was the other. ... Philadelphia rookie G Michael Carter-Williams entered the game averaging 17.8 points, 7.5 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game, the best among NBA rookies. The only rookie to average those totals over a whole season was the Los Angeles Lakers' Magic Johnson in 1979-80. ... G Isaiah Thomas extended his string of making at least one 3-pointer to 25 consecutive games, the fourth-longest run in Kings history. Peja Stojakovic's 35-game streak in 2004-05 is next on the list.
