It's been almost a month since Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium hit the shelves and the flagship is getting its first important update. Although it contains some security-related enhancements, the most important ones concern the phone's camera.

The Xperia XZ2 Premium packs a dual rear camera that was missing some nifty features at launch. The new update is supposed to correct that by adding these features that could come in handy more often than not.

The first addition to the camera's UI is the bokeh mode, which you'll be able to access by tapping the function key below the shutter button. There's also a brand new monochrome effect, which can be applied to both video and photo content.

Last but not least, the update brings the newest August security patch. Usually, these updates are rolled out globally in stages, which means you'll have to wait a few days if it's not yet available for download.
