A while back, Xiaomi became a member of the Wireless Power Consortium, which only meant that the Chinese manufacturer would end up making phones that could benefit from wireless charging. Obviously, the Xiaomi Mi7 would be one of them since it belongs to the high-end category. Now, the upcoming phone has seemingly been confirmed to get support for this convenient feature, courtesy of a leaked image.

Xiaomi Mi7 to Use Wireless Charger From IDC – Phone Will Be Fully Compatible With U.S. Networking Bands

The leaked image given below reveals that the Xiaomi Mi7 will be using a wireless charging module from IDC. Though it is yet to be confirmed which exact module will be used, or the power draw that will be taking place. What we do know is that the phone is going to feature the ability to charge the battery through wireless induction.

A better solution would be to bundle the wireless charger with the smartphone since lots of Android manufacturers pack lots of freebies with the smartphone.

Xiaomi is also known to manufacturer cheaper but premium accessories so no doubt we’ll be seeing a wireless charger that will be much cheaper than the competition. As for the remaining additions, the Xiaomi Mi7 will come armed with a Snapdragon 845 to take on the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ and LG V30.

The smartphone’s design is said to be based on the Mi MIX 2, where it will sport a near bezel-less form factor with a 5.65-inch display and an 18:9 aspect ratio.

Xiaomi will be offering the upcoming flagship for a very competitive price tag and will most definitely be offered in several storage and RAM flavors. Like its predecessors, we do not expect the Xiaomi Mi7 to come with expandable storage but we certainly hope that it can provide a ton of internal memory for the user as a form of convenience.
