The majority of smartphone users will often pick up a new device for its design and from the looks of it, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s will have a brand new chassis when it gets unveiled tomorrow. According to the latest term, it will feature a four-layer ceramic body and while this could just be another marketing term, the material ceramic actually has a lot of benefits when incorporated on phones. At the same time, there are also drawbacks that come with it.

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s Four-Layer Ceramic Body Will Make it Extremely Resistant to Scratches but Will Result in One Drawback

Having a ceramic version will make the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s extremely resistant to scratches, though it goes without saying that the smartphone will become a fingerprint magnet over time. The original Mi MIX also came with a ceramic chassis, but the Mi MIX 2s getting a four-layer ceramic body means that the device might be more aesthetically pleasing to the naked eye.

Unfortunately, ceramic is also one of the most brittle materials around and a small drop can result in the breakage of the body. Infusing it onto a smartphone is also an expensive process, so do not be surprised if you see a ‘higher than usual’ price tag stamped on the flagship.

In terms of hardware specifications, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s will have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone will also support wireless charging and will be rocking a Full HD+ resolution, which measures in at 2,160 x 1,080 pixels, resulting in an aspect ratio 18:9.

The phone will have a dual-camera set up, which has been located vertically on the top left on the rear of the phone. This camera, according to a previous leak reveals that the phone will support multi-frame noise reduction (MFNR), portrait mode, and 1080p 120-frame-per-second slow motion capture.

A benchmarking leak came forth and showed us that Snapdragon 845 housed inside the flagship might be optimized for delivering performance and seeing a 4,400mAh cell in the phone will certainly lift our spirit.
