The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 appears to be the next highly anticipated handset to come from Xiaomi. Based on rumored specs,we could see the high-end model carry a 5.5-inch dual curved edge AMOLED screen with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. The latest rumor has the Snapdragon 835 chipset under the hood, a 21MP dual camera setup on the back of the unit, and 6GB of RAM inside the device along with 128GB of flash memory. But wait, there's more. What that will be though, is a surprise according to CEO Lei Jun.

The executive, who said on Wednesday that the Mi Note 2 is currently under mass production, wouldn't say what the mystery is all about. Perhaps it has something to do with the price of the phablet, which might reside in the area of $300 USD.That would be amazing for a phone with those specs.

The Mi Note 2 is rumored to be coming to market in the middle of next month. Xiaomi is said to be hoping that the handset makes up for what apparently has been a disappointing launch of the Xiaomi Mi 5s. According to one report, only Qualcomm's ultrasonic fingerprint scanner embedded in the display, and the screen's Force Touch feature saved the phone from being a disaster.
