Virus for Android uses Google's behalf Play to steal data

Not a few viruses for Android, but some stand out by the tactics used to trick users. One of them caught the attention of the security firm FireEye, which discovered malware that masqueraded as an icon of Google Play Store logo on the device's home screen.
When installing the device, the application requesting administrator permissions, features two pop-ups: "Program Error" and then "This was deleted". However, from this moment, the virus spreads through the system with code designed to steal SMS messages, certificates and banking passwords.

Although the tactic is clever, it is important to note that the cybercriminal was not exactly careful when doing this. The application has the name "Googl App Stoy", which should immediately raise suspicions. Therefore, it is worth mentioning the need to care about what is installed on your phone, especially if the source of the app is not Google Play.

The company says that from the time of installation, the user could no longer remove it from the cell, since the malware continues to run as background services. You can even interrupt their functions, but after restarting the phone, everything went back to the initial state.
