At the start of this year, Vernee launched the Vernee X — smartphone with a massive battery, pretty decent specs, and four cameras — two on each side. It was available in either 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB of storage or 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage variants. Now, in an attempt to strike a sweet spot between performance and price, Vernee is re-launching the phone in the form of Vernee X1 — the same device, but with a combo of 64 GB memory chip and 6 GB of RAM.

A quick reminder on the specs — the Vernee X1 is made out of metal and sports a 6-inch, 18:9 display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 (FHD+) for a sharp PPI density of 402. The processor inside is an octa-core, 2.5 GHz MediaTek Helio P23. As we already mentioned — it comes with 64 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM, which is plenty enough, really. A massive 6,200 mAh battery works in concert with software optimizations to provide power for up to 4 days, according to Vernee. About the quad cameras — on the back, we have a 16 MP shooter with a 5 MP assistant for depth and blur effects, and on the front — it's a 13 MP selfie snapper with another 5 MP assistive sensor.

On the software side — there's Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box with a custom VOS interface laid on top. The latter adds a face unlock feature, but there's fingerprint locking available, too. The manufacturer promises that an update to Android 8 Oreo is on its way in the near future.

What about price and availability? Well, the Vernee X1 is up for pre-sale until the 2nd of April at the price of $209.99. Actual retail price is $239.99.
